Common questions answered
If you need help in an emergency right now, call 112 โ do not wait for a reply here.
- Is One SOS free for citizens?
- Yes โ raising an SOS is completely free.
- Which emergencies does OneSOS cover?
- One button covers medical emergencies, fire, police assistance, disaster response, urgent blood requirements, legal aid after incidents and roadside breakdowns. The platform routes your request to the right responder network automatically.
- Is my location shared with anyone besides the responders?
- Your live location is shared only with the responders assigned to your request and, if you choose, a tracking link you can send to family. It is never sold or shared with third parties, and access ends when the request closes.
- Does OneSOS work without an internet connection?
- The SOS flow needs a data connection to share your live location with responders. When you have no data, the app shows the 112 national helpline for one-tap calling, and any SOS you attempted is sent automatically the moment connectivity returns.
- Can I raise an SOS for someone else?
- Yes. When raising a request you can mark it as being for another person and drop the pin at their location instead of yours. This is common for accidents witnessed on the road โ your own details are used only for coordination.
- How do ambulance drivers and agencies join the platform?
- Ambulance agencies register through the OneSOS app or portal, submit their fleet and driver documents, and are verified by the OneSOS team before going live. Once approved, drivers receive dispatches on the OneSOS Ambulance app with navigation and trip management built in.
